I am Eva Maria I am a Thai massage practitioner and a a certified Yoga teacher, offering my services here in Alicante, Spain.

 

When it comes to massage, my philosophy is to provide you with a personalized treatment according to your particular needs and choosing the right techniques from the myriad of available possibilities to improve your wellbeing. All massages I offer  are based on Traditional Thai massage.

What is Traditional Thai massage?

Thai massage, which originated in India, has been around for over 2,500 years. Originally regarded as a healing art, traditional Thai massage includes influences from both Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine.

Thai massage works on the energy lines that run through the body (meridians). Each of the lines have different names and are related to different parts of the body. In Shiatsu for example, they work on the meridians with acupressure. In Thai massage, the energy lines are called Sen and Sib. The lines run almost similar to the meridians from the Chinese medicine.

 

You lie with comfortable clothes on a mattress on the floor or massage table while a practitioner uses acupressure, thumbs, palm hands, elbows yoga stretching, and rocking techniques to relieve tension, promote relaxation, and improve flexibility and circulation. It works on the whole body from feet to head, back, front, hands, legs, arms, belly, on all energy lines of the body.

Thai massage is focused on improving the flow of energy (chi) throughout your body to improve physical health and emotional balance. The goal is to release tension stiffness and blocked energy, so that you feel more flow and harmony in mind and body.

Sometimes emotions are released and you can feel them coming up after treatment: just go with the flow and they will be released and after that you feel better again, as it is blocked energy. Massage is indicated to help against:

 - Headache 

- Stiffness 

- Backpain

- Anxiety and depression
